Editorial policy

ActuTrading is an independent financial news outlet. Here's how we produce, verify, and publish our content.

1. Our mission

Make financial information accessible, reliable, and usable for the general public. We do not target institutional investors or professional traders: our audience is savers, retail investors, and independent traders. Our articles translate market news into concrete terms for a non-expert reader.

2. Editorial process

Every published article follows a 4-step process before release:

  1. Topic selection — identification of relevant news from primary sources (press releases, official publications, financial authority reports, AFP/Reuters wires).
  2. Fact-checking — every number, date, name is verified against at least two independent sources. Quotations are checked at the source.
  3. Writing and proofreading — the article is written and then reviewed for clarity, accuracy, and tone. Technical terms are systematically explained in parentheses.
  4. Publication — the article is dated, signed, and published with a clear mention of sources used.

3. Editorial independence

ActuTrading has no capital ties with any broker, bank, exchange, or issuer of financial instruments. Our content is never sponsored. No company or individual can, through financial or other consideration, influence the editorial line, impose a topic, or secure favorable coverage.

If an article contains an affiliate link (commission received on subscription through that link), it is explicitly disclosed. No current article contains any affiliate link.

4. Corrections policy

When an error is identified after publication, we correct it transparently and visibly. Substantive modifications are listed publicly on our Corrections page with date and context.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not provide personalized investment advice. We are not registered financial advisors (CIF in France) nor investment services providers (PSI).
  • We do not manage any fund, portfolio, or mandate. We receive no compensation from brokers or exchanges mentioned in our articles.
  • We do not publish content automatically generated without human review.
  • We do not recommend buying or selling a specific asset. The analyses in our 'Our view' section are editorial opinion, not advice.

6. Sources and methodology

Our main sources are:

  • Public authorities: European Central Bank (ECB), Federal Reserve (Fed), AMF, SEC, Eurostat, INSEE.
  • Listed companies: official press releases, annual reports, quarterly publications.
  • Financial news agencies: Reuters, Bloomberg, Agence France-Presse.
  • Market data: CoinGecko, exchange-rates.org, Yahoo Finance, TradingView for real-time quotes.

7. Production methodology

Our articles are produced through an editorially-assisted workflow that combines AI-based writing-assistance tools for formatting and summarizing from the primary sources mentioned above, and an automated translation tool for the English version of our content.

Every article — regardless of its technical origin — undergoes human editorial review and fact-checking before publication, in line with the process described in section 2. Editorial responsibility and the publishing director remain human and identifiable.

8. Diversity and inclusion

We strive for a balanced coverage of different markets (Western, Asian, emerging) and avoid cultural blind spots. Our editorial language favors inclusivity: accessible explanations for non-expert readers, systematic explanation of jargon, concrete numerical examples.

9. Editorial contact
