Corrections and updates
We want you to trust what you read on ActuTrading. When we make a mistake, we say so openly.
Our corrections policy
Every article is reviewed before publication. Despite this, mistakes can happen (wrong number, incorrect attribution, missing context). When they do, we apply 3 principles:
- Transparency — every substantive correction is disclosed publicly on this page and noted at the top of the affected article.
- Speed — we correct as soon as the error is confirmed, ideally within 24 hours.
- Integrity — we never silently delete a faulty passage. Either the article is corrected with a note, or it is withdrawn entirely with an explanation.
Types of corrections we disclose
- Factual error — incorrect number, misspelled name, wrong date, misattributed quote.
- Substantial error — misinterpretation of an event, missing context that changes the meaning of the article.
- Update — addition of new information after initial publication, reaction from a concerned party.
We don't disclose simple typographical fixes (spelling, punctuation) that don't affect meaning.
